plotting

Kuzue Taguchi, one of our resident sculptors, mounted a small exhibition this week. Since I am re-visiting my novel, this free form design of Mylar strips reflecting light takes on new meaning. To a writer, it looks like an out-of-control plot line! When I attended a Rising River Retreat, Jackie Davies helped me see that I had continued the storyline of my novel too far beyond the climax. In fact, I had written a second climax, not recognizing the truth of the first one! So the focus of my last week here will be shaping that plot line and finding a satisfying resolution to the story.
